OUR MISSION

 

The mission of the Liberian Community Association of Manitoba (LIBCAM) is to encourage social interaction and community development through community capacity building. LIBCAM is a Not for Profit community-based organization committed to improving the physical, spiritual, emotional, cultural, and mental well-being of our community, nurturing skills in outreach and network building. As an organization, LIBCAM coordinates socially inclusive, information sharing workshops for vulnerable individuals that facilitates the development of basic social interactive community involvement of seniors, women and youths, including advocacy, assistive technology training and other social skills. LIBCAM also organizes community events such as back to school learning for children, youth from our community and under-served neighborhoods.

LIBCAM promote stable communities activities rooted in peace, independence, and self-sufficiency to facilitate the growth and development of less privileged individuals in our community and the general public.
